Meet Bill Muskopf

With over 30 years of experience in IT service management, project leadership, and education, Bill Muskopf exemplifies what it means to combine technical excellence with engaging instruction. He is a Certified Project Management Professional (PMP®), ITIL® 4 Managing Professional, PRINCE2® Practitioner, ISO Auditor, and Professional Scrum Master - credentials that reflect a lifetime of learning and leadership.

Bill currently serves as the Compliance Leader for Managed Services at Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE), while also teaching as a Professor of IT Management at a New York City graduate school. His career includes leading projects across industries, from private sector initiatives to large-scale government programs for the NYPD, FDNY, and the NYC Department of IT.

Bill’s curiosity and forward-thinking mindset drive him to stay ahead of industry trends. He’s currently exploring the role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in IT education and is pursuing an additional graduate degree in AI Management Systems.

He’s also earning his Auditor Certificate in ISO/IEC 42001 – Artificial Intelligence Management Systems (AIMS), further strengthening his expertise at the intersection of technology, governance, and innovation.

This dedication ensures that his students - and the organizations they serve - remain prepared for the evolving future of IT.

 

Beyond the Classroom

Outside of teaching, Bill oversees 10 HPE IT Operations Centers (ITOCs) as part of his leadership role at Hewlett Packard Enterprise. He’s also a frequent guest speaker at workshops, conferences, and professional events, where he shares insights on ITIL®, project management, and compliance frameworks.

Bill’s passion for continuous learning and mentorship extends to his growing network of alumni, mentees, and peers - many of whom consider him a lifelong guide in their professional journey.
